Art and Steel at InMood Aucanada: The Retrospective of Abdel Flitti
Culture 12/08/2025This 2025 season, our lobby has been transformed into a true art gallery to host the retrospective exhibition of sculptor Abdel Flitti.
His iron and stainless steel pieces convey both strength and delicacy in equal measure. Each work is created with a deep understanding of the materials and carries a clear message, which Abdel himself shared with all attendees during the opening event.

During the presentation, the artist personally guided us through the lobby, stopping at each of his sculptures to tell us the story and meaning behind them. Among the most talked-about was his “giant zipper,” a piece that impresses with both its size and the metaphor it embodies. His series of hunting-themed sculptures, full of balance and symbolism, also caught visitors’ attention.
During the event, our team set up an improvised drinks bar and served trays of selected appetizers, while the hotel’s deputy manager, Timo Weber, made sure everything ran perfectly. We were joined by artists and friends who came to support Abdel, as well as singer Marisa Blume, who performed on our terrace that same evening.

At InMood Aucanada, we love opening our doors not only to guests but also to the culture and talent of our island. That’s why we invite you to come and enjoy this collection—rich in poetic and literary messages—which will be on display in the hotel lobby throughout 2025.

We look forward to welcoming you so you can experience art up close, in a setting as special as ours.
